Maracas Red Ladybirds Wooden Handles

A funky pair of gourd red ladybird design maracas with smooth wooden handles.

The ladybird designs and leaf designs at the top of the maraca have both been hand carved and burnt into the gourd.

As the size of the gourds vary, every set of maracas will be unique in size and shape. However they have a length of approximately 16cms to 17cms.

Purchased from C.I.A.P. ( La Central Interregional de Artesanos del Peru ) , a non- profit organization which helps improve the social and economic situation of producers from many different regions of Peru. C.I.A.P. saw the need to provide a way for the producers to receive fair wages and safe working conditions without exploitation.
