This fantastic description was written by our supplier and I saw no need to change or add to it.
A lot of people have asked if I could make some form of butterfly life cycle puzzle, and Raff has been flying around a paper butterfly he made around the house this week, so, I thought I would combine the two: A working, wooden butterfly in our ‘flatpack’ style he can fly that also teaches the stages of a butterfly metamorphosis! I intentionally left the wings quite simple in design because Raff “wants to paint it the colours I like!”, and so, your young people can do the same.
Comes with wooden butterfly (around 25cm x 25cm) with working wings and the Butterfly Metamorphosis diagram on the back wings, 7 wooden stages of the butterfly metamorphosis, and a display stand for all the pieces to put on show when it is not flying around the lounge room with rocket sound effects (or is that just Raff?)
Like all Plyful products, this is made with all Australian materials:
Australian sourced pine, Western Australian Beeswax, and Australian made cotton rope. This also uses two screws and washers, hidden and safely inaccessible by young people (from an Australian owned company, but the screws are made in China - anyone out there make screws in Australia? - let me know!)
For Years 3+, and with all our products, we always recommend adult supervision, and interaction with your young people and our products - cause' we all need to be kids sometimes.
